Mark of the Ninja hit Steam yesterday and rightly so because this game does deserve more attention beyond anyone that owns an Xbox360. The stealth mechanics are superb in letting the player know sound radius and enemy line-of-sight and with a variety of different ways to pass a level including an all stealth, no detection method where none of the guards are killed. There is also a nice visual effect that obscures areas that are out of line of sight that clears up as the player leans against a door or grate. The game can be found here.

Telltale Games launched their 4th episode today in the Walking Dead game. The story continues with Lee Everett and Clementine right after narrowly escaping a zombie horde on a locomotive. Arriving at Savannah, Lee will have to choose between helping Clementine find her parents or sticking with the group. Also who was that mysterious voice that was hailing on Clementines walkie who seems to know everything going on about the group? Will the group be able to make it to the docks as they planned? None of the choices seem ideal, but regardless a choice must be made.
On a side note AMC’s The Walking Dead Season 3 premiers this Sunday October 14th at 9/8c

After a huge reveal of the new IP back in April, many gamers have been yearning for a very promising stealth-based game that presents the player with various options to progress be it by lethal or non-lethal means. Perhaps the game that will earn the game of the year for 2012, Dishonored has a unique visual theme going that is reminiscent to the old Victorian era. While the graphics and game engine are not cutting edge technology, animations, voice acting, and lighting while inventing many different ways to achieve goals will be more than makes up for it to immerse the player in the world of Dunwall. Dishonored is from the first person perspective with a heavy emphasis on stealth strategy with many abilities to employ during missions. It’s been over 10 years since the last XCom title and after numerous cancelled projects, Firaxis Games finally picks up the baton and carries it towards what looks to be a very engaging strategic experience. With an intricate system to manage your squad and facilities via ant-farm/dollhouse view, navigating through so many menus will actually be an enjoyable experience. XCom Enemy Unknown is a strategic turn-based tile game that will keep engagements fresh and rewarding by plotting out squad positions and weapons tactics. This is a genre that is worth revisiting or introducing to unaware gamers. To watch more XCom gameplay, there are lots of live streamers on twitch who constantly stream this game for public viewing.

This game was shown during PAX, Gamescom, and ComiCon earlier this year and many critics were impressed by the creative direction this game took and generated quite a buzz. Production goes as far back as 2009 and Giant Sparrow has been picking up a lot of momentum since. Sony reached out to them and got an exclusive on the PSN and will be releasing the finished game on October 23 but Playstation Plus members will have the game made available one week earlier.
