The fourth expansion since the initial launch of World of Warcraft has launched today and introduces a new race of Pandarens. Many people remember this race as a humorous character from the Warcraft III games, namely “The Brewmaster” which initially started off as a sort of April fools joke but spun off into a well-liked character.
Players will be able to play as Pandarens regardless of faction and will be able to play as a Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior, or the new class Monk. Starting a Pandaren will start players off at level 1 on the Wandering Isle (the back of a giant turtle) and will leave the area around level 12. Towards the end-game, there will be 6 new dungeons and 3 new raids to do group content with the level cap raised from 85 to 90. There are no new professions in this expansion but there is a pet battle minigame.

The Fifth installment of the DOA series is out and the folks at Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja has brought over characters from Sega’s Virtua Fighter to join the roster adding up to a total of 23 fighters in all. Dead or Alive 5 is the first game in its series that was developed without any input from the series creator Tomonobu Itagaki. It is also the first game in the series on the PS3. Several retailers offered pre-order bonuses which mostly feature sexy swimsuit outfits for the bodacious female fighters.

It is with great anticipation and eager excitement I announce this week’s new releases early. First and foremost the game that many of you already know and are probably going to fire up the moment the clock strikes midnight, Borderlands 2. Oh I should also mention analysts at 2kGames are boasting that this game is now the publisher’s most pre-ordered game of all time. And now may I present a couple of high resolution wallpaper images.
If you’ve pre-ordered the game, congratulations because all pre-orders will be eligible for the Premiere Club. Members of the premiere club will be receiving the Mechromancer DLC ($10 value, October 16th) for free as well as a few other bonuses.
Bring your friends, cause mayhem, but remember to play nice and share the loot people.
An HD version is available for download on the PSN tomorrow, followed by a Xbox360, and PC (Steam) version on the 19th. This game comes from a different era of games that were full of skate simulators and introduced a whole new picture of appeal, Cel-Shading. The game features open world roller blading while tagging the walls of Shibuya. With its funky and diverse soundtrack and the satisfaction of consistently pulling off smooth tricks this game brought me many joys back in the days when the Sega Dreamcast was still ripe with potential. The HD revision will also be ported over to iOS and Android in the near future.
Torchlight II releases later this week on Thursday the 20th. The game promises more content, multiplayer co-op, and a set of developer tools that will allow users to create their own mods to their own liking. Cheating will not be prohibited but rather it places the responsibility of the player to pick their allies carefully. There will be a feature to see if players are using a mod or not so be aware of that for when you decide to duel someone in PvP. No word yet on future DLC content, but the game will feature a full 4 acts with the fourth act being a full act, not just a short wrap-up chapter. For a low price of $20, this long awaited ARPG is a much welcome addition from the members of the original Diablo franchise to cleanse our palette from a rather distasteful sequel a few months back.
